Elias Mora is a renowned winery located in the Toro region of Spain. Founded in 2000 by the
Eguren family, who are well-known winemakers with several other successful wineries in Spain,
Elias Mora is dedicated to producing high-quality, complex wines that reflect the unique terroir
of the Toro region.
The winery is situated on a hillside with optimal sun exposure and soil characteristics for grape
growing. The vineyards are carefully tended to by a team of experienced viticulturists who use
traditional methods to ensure the health and quality of the vines. The vineyards are primarily
planted with Tinta de Toro, the local name for the Tempranillo grape, which is the predominant
grape variety in the region.
The winery produces several different wines, including both red and white wines, but their red
wines are particularly noteworthy. These wines are aged in oak barrels for varying lengths of time,
depending on the wine, in order to enhance their complexity and depth of flavor. The winery's
most popular wine is the Elias Mora Crianza, a blend of Tinta de Toro and Garnacha that is aged for
12 months in French and American oak barrels.
In addition to its dedication to producing high-quality wines, the Elias Mora winery is also committed
to sustainability and environmentally-friendly practices. The winery uses natural methods of pest and
disease control and has implemented several energy-saving initiatives in its production processes.
Overall, Elias Mora is a winery that produces complex, high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir
of the Toro region. With a dedication to traditional methods and sustainable practices, the winery has
earned a reputation as one of the top producers in the region.
